The Vehicle Technology Centre and Siemens Canada, with assistance from Red River College Polytech are hosting a one-day information seminar exploring the steps and critical decisions that must be navigated when transitioning a fleet of vehicles to zero emissions. This event is intended to address fleet needs from taxis to heavy trucks and off-road vehicles, bus, courier, agriculture, construction equipment and others. We will also cover the implications for operators, operations and infrastructure planners and maintenance staff.
We will explore the critical decisions that have to be made from the type of fuel to use, dispensing, electrical, capital, operational changes infrastructure changes, employee training and more. We will also be touring the Red River College Polytech VTEC lab including their new Siemens Level 4 battery charger installation. There will be lots of time for Q&A with our speakers.
Speakers from Manitoba Hydro, New Flyer, Siemens, Winnipeg Transit, AC Transit in Oakland California, and others will be presenting and taking your questions. Most speakers will be in person with some joining us virtually.
