SUMMARY:VTC Hosted Technical Mission Trip to the Hannover Messe Digital Manufacturing Show - Hannover Germany - April 18-24\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:The future of digital manufacturing on display!!!!  The VTC is gauging interest to assemble a group mission to the Hannover Messe.  This show is s great 5 year window into coming advancements in digital manufacturing.  I find this a great opportunity to see what is on the horizons and consider the possibilities for our manufacturing plants here in Canada \nThe show boast 123\,000 visitors from 150 countries and is about 15 times the size of the Winnipeg convention centre.  It has over 1800 exhibit displays. \nVTC will book hotels\, evening dinners and coordinate all in Germany transportation to make the show easy to navigate.  For more information go the the Hannover Messe website at hannovermesse.de/en \nThe VTC has support funds available to Heavy Equipment and Vehicle OEM manufacturers from Manitoba to offset 505 of the travel costs. \nContact Ron at rvanderwees@vtci.ca if you would like more information about attending.  We need a minimum amount of attendees before committing to this trip

SUMMARY:VTC Mission Trip to Advanced Clean Technology Expo in Las Vegas
DESCRIPTION:This will be the second time the VTC will be hosting a mission trip to this event that showcases advances in clean technology in commercial on road fleet equipment.   One participant from last years trip who is deeply knowledgeable about battery electrification commented that this was one of the best technology conferences he had been to. \nLarge fleet companies and truck manufacturers will be sharing their future plans in the area of clean technology and what that looks like at fleet scale.  There will be 300 speakers including major truck OEM’s\, 200 advanced commercial vehicles represented\, 500 exhibitors all focused on the path to clean technology for commercial vehicles. \nThis trip roster is full\, stay tuned for info about future technical mission trips.

DESCRIPTION:This year’s industry academia summit will be held at Red River College Polytech’s Notre Dame Campus on Tuesday May 20\, 2026\, Room GM 41 in the heart of the campus \nThis event brings together heavy equipment and vehicle research and development leaders and local academic researchers.  Industry will present on research needs that arise from their future product and process R&D plans and academics will present on their areas of research\, all with the goal of finding opportunities for industry academic collaboration. \nAfter the presentations \, we will have specific technology breakout rooms to allow deeper industry academia discussions. \nOptional tours of RRC-P Motive Lab and Smart Factory will be available \nParking is in Lot N1 on the east side of the campus and can be paid for using the Pay by Phone app. \n
