Call For Proposals – Vehicle Technology Centre Clean Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Program

The VTC is accepting proposals from Manitoba based heavy vehicle and equipment manufacturers or related Tier 1 suppliers who are exploring the path to zero emissions for heavy vehicles or are experimenting with advanced manufacturing technologies in low volume production.  For more information on how to submit a letter of interest, go to

Manitoba is home to a large group of heavy equipment and vehicle manufacturers building large complex mobile equipment that is shipped all over the world. The complexities of designing and building these vehicles units at relatively low volumes are immense and render most light automotive knowledge and practices unusable. As a cluster we are working together to develop product and process knowledge that can transform our products and processes to enhance our competitiveness in each of our industry sectors.  

With the goal of accelerating the growth of Manitoba’s heavy vehicle manufacturing ecosystem, the VTC has joined METALTec, an NRC-led initiative which brings together members from all parts of the transportation equipment manufacturing supply chain to find innovative solutions to metal product manufacturing industry challenges through collaborative R&D projects.
