Vehicle Technology Centre’s Key Role
The heavy equipment and vehicle (HEV) manufacturing sector includes: urban and intercity buses, fire trucks, motor homes, RV’s, trailers, agricultural equipment and related parts and components. Heavy equipment and specialized vehicle manufacturing comes with unique challenges. From producing complex designs at relatively low volumes, along with the immense size and scale of these machines — specialized knowledge and practices are essential.
Representing the HEV cluster of companies, VTC acts as a network to advancing product and process knowledge, keeping jobs in the province, and enhancing the industry’s competitiveness.
The Vehicle Technology Centre is a proud member of the NRC-led METALTec industrial research and development group.
